Hi! I'm @sadalsvvd (alternatively: Sadal, Sad, Sood, etc.), and I help people understand and develop themselves through the lens of holistic practices such as tarot, astrology, and plain old open conversation.

I am a programmer-turned-astrologer who is fascinated by the study of selfhood, mission, and mystery. I've been studying astrology in depth for the past three years since discovering uncanny "coincidences" in the sky with my own life and have been reading the tarot for over five. Pricing and process

A typical astrology consultation fits neatly into an hour to 1.5 hours. Tarot readings generally last 30 minutes to an hour depending on the question(s). Please see my appointment form for pricing. Sliding scale options are available; please email me at sadalsvvd@gmail.com.

No matter what type of reading you get, we'll conduct the reading over video conference (usually Google Meet). You don't have to show your face if you prefer but I'll need the video conferencing capabilities to share my screen to show your natal chart or show you the cards I'm drawing.

For astrology readings, I require the following information from you: your date of birth, the location (town/city) of your birth, and the time of your birth (as exact as possible). This is important because many astrological techniques rely on the specific time and location of your birth--so much so that a difference of 4 minutes can have significant impact. If you aren't sure or don't have a birth time, we can still proceed with a reading, but you'll get much more out of it if you have your birth time.

Q & A

Should I get an astrology or a tarot reading?

Astrological consultations are explorations of the symbolic indications of the planets at the time of your birth, which describe key dynamics of our subjective (and often objective) experience. They're useful for discussing personal patterns, psychological stumbling blocks, and how to leverage your strengths for success. Astrology can also be used to push toward the eminently practical with the divinatory (asking specific questions), electional (choosing the most optimal dates for doing, well, anything), and predictive (forecasting likely types of events based on upcoming planetary configurations), although I don't offer these as specific services at this time.

Tarot readings work by drawing tarot cards into spreads whose unique positioning and archetypal meanings culminate in an answer to the question being asked, filtered through the interpretation of the reader and your own experience. If you're looking to get more information on a decision you have to make, confirmation of an idea you have, shine light on a concern, get a forecast for the month (or year!) ahead, or just have a general check-in with yourself, tarot readings are a good choice.

Do I have to have a question in mind?

Not at all! If you just want a general reading for fun or need some help formulating questions in a live reading, I can work with you whether you're getting an astrology or a tarot consultation. For tarot specifically, there are certain types of questions that don't work very well such as "What should I do?" (the answer: up to you), and certain types of questions that do work quite well, such as:

What happens if I do X versus Y?
Why is X occurring?
What is important to be focusing on right now?
What can I do to practice self-care?
What's going on with Y in general?
What does the future hold with Z?
How can I best do X?

Are you psychic/a medium/a mind-reader/etc.?

No. While I frequently get "hits" (what I call intuitive insights) while performing readings, I don't bill myself as a psychic or a medium. You're welcome to ask me predictive questions or questions related to those who have passed, but these questions will be answered through the lens of the tarot rather than any claim of a direct link or psychic ability.

Are tarot/astrology readings dangerous?

No. For the vast majority of people, holistic readings are not remotely dangerous besides the risks that come with too much personal reflection. Only those who are handling severe psychological sensitivities would be at risk receiving or performing with the at times dramatic and archetypal nature of astrology or the tarot. However, do note that if you aren't ready for examine your life and questions with honesty and directness, you may not want to book a reading with me.
